GCQ Daemon Analysis – Stella: Gemini
5 ★ Assist Divina
Max/MLB Attack: 12800/15274
Max/MLB HP: 8600/10262
Base bond effect: Increases Attack
Gemini (lvl 77): Increase 20% of DMG dealt by the 2 allies with the highest ATK (only take effect once to the team)
Finally we see in Guild Conquest a daemon who does not require LB3 to have her ability unlocked – and provide a useful assist ability as well.
20% damage boost to the 2 highest attack daemons is a very good boost. This contrasts with:
- Aquila, Orion and Sagittarius who boost skill damage 20%, and are type limited rather than ATK priority limited
- Aka ‘Red’ Chochin [HW2] with 15% skill damage boost with similar targeting, but only on the final wave
- Aquarius with a team wide 11% DMG boost
The contrast between Gemini and Aquarius is like the contrast between Leo and Nautilus. The former having a higher boost but focused on your team’s main damage dealer; the later having a team wide boost of a lower value. (Gemini and Aquarius boost damage, Leo and Nautilus boost crit damage.)
Given current team set ups tend to have daemons specialized in different roles, with the bulk of the damage coming from one or two main damage dealers and the rest of the team focused on support and boosting the damage of the damage dealers, the focused assist boost would tend to provide a greater overall damage boost – as long as the damage cap on skills is not yet breached. Example, if on the World Boss stage your main damage dealer is already doing 999,999 damage on skill with Aquarius on the team, it makes no sense to replace Aquarius with Gemini because the damage dealer’s damage would not increase further and you might as well take the boosted auto attacks from the supporting daemons teamwide. However, if the damage cap is not breached then Gemini would take you closer to it than Aquarius and would usually lead to a better damage outcome.
With Gemini’s ability easily unlocked with just 3 copies needed, I strongly recommend players to acquire Gemini especially if you are lacking in quality assist daemons.
